John Morales

John Morales has a Puerto Rican background, he was born in the Bronx in New York, and he has been involved in putting together successful albums for more than 30 years, playing in legendary places such as Stardust Ballroom, Pippins, Bentleys, Limelight and Studio 54.

His now acclaimed ‘Deadly Medleys’ and ‘Sunshine Acetate Medleys’ caught the attention of New York disco producers Greg Carmichael and Patrick Adams who were impressed with Morales’ creative ability and eagerness to produce new remixes.

Together with Sergio Munzibai, he formed a solid work team and founded the M&M label. M&M productions have more than 650 mixes to their name, with pioneering record numbers for Class Action, Jocelyn Brown, Shakatak, Miami Sound Machine, The Temptations, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones, Spandau Ballet, Aretha Franklin, Shalamar, Hall & Oates , Candi Station, Billy Ocean, The Commodores and even Peter Schilling and Rod Stewart. In fact, nearly all the main artists at the time were somehow remixed at the hands of Morales and Munzibai.

Recently, John Morales has completed a CD compilation for BBE, with new extended versions of James Brown and The Four Tops, Marvin Ashford & Simpson among others.
