At this workshop you will be able to make your own souvenir made out of natural products like salt from the hundred-year-old Janubio salt flats (of the Canarian Network of Protected Natural Spaces) and at the same time learn about plants and seeds and the properties they have for aromatherapy using essential oils like lavender and orange. Bring your own salt sample home.
Mama Pepa is a traditional soap factory whose products are inspired by the island of Lanzarote, fire, water, earth and wind, all of them are part of the production process.
Josefa has made soaps ever since she was a little girl. One day she decided to make some changes to traditional recipes and she made her own craft soaps, improving production until she managed to achieve softer and more natural soaps; her products are made with an olive oil base, coconut and a combination of 100% natural vegetable oils obtained from a first pressing process, like Argan oil, jojoba, almond, rosehip and shea and cocoa butter. The use of essential oils on the skin, as well as a broad selection of fresh local ingredients like goat’s milk, prickly pear, aloe vera, volcanic sand, papaya, sea salt…, aromatic plants and clay and spices with valuable cosmetic properties, make these products so special.
The name Mama Pepa pays tribute to her mother, and the brand image shows a photo of her grandmother Teresa. This is a way to preserve a tradition and pay tribute to women in her family.
